Maria Yankova-Mladenova is Education Officer at UNICEF Bulgaria since 2014 and UNICEF Bulgaria Disability Focal Point. She supports the design and implementation of UNICEF programs aimed to strengthen the national policies on inclusive education though support for building inclusive environment in ECEC and school education, incl. introducing assistive technologies, shifting from the medical to social model of disability using the functional assessment, improving the quality of additional support provided to children with special needs and disabilities.
She holds a PhD in project management from the University of National and World Economy, Sofia.
